A COMPLETE ANALYSIS OF COVID-19

Introduction:

Coronavirus is not a new virus it is the family of viruses merging as SARS in 2003 thousands of People died during pandemic.
Now COVID-19 is also the member of that family it is just a modified form of old one.
It's all started from Wuhan city of China first case reported on 31st December 2019 and rapidly reached all around the globe now 206 countries fighting to this disease.



Now in this blog i will talk about Covid-19 specifically to India

 First case in India was reported on 30 January 2020 from Kerala state ,now current situation there are 139k total cases of which 57k recovered and 4k died. Almost all States of India got spread of Covid-19 .This highly affected States like Maharashtra Gujrat and Tamil Nadu with cases more than 10k Maharashtra is exceptional with Very high cases reaching to 50k in which mumbai alone has nearly 30k cases.

Symptoms:

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.
Most common symptoms:
  • fever
  • dry cough
  • tiredness
Less common symptoms:
  • aches and pains
  • sore throat
  • diarrhoea
  • conjunctivitis
  • headache
  • loss of taste or smell
  • a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes
Serious symptoms:
  • difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • chest pain or pressure
  • loss of speech or movement

On average it takes 5–6 days from when someone is infected with the virus for symptoms to show, however it can take up to 14 days

How it spreads:
  • virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva
  • discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes

How deadly is Covid-19:

In this segment i will talk about mortality rates of COVID-19 and the groups with the highest risk. It also explores what the illness does to the body

COVID-19 can be deadly for some people. Older adults and people with existing health conditions are more at risk of serious complications, which can be life threatening.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 80% of people who develop the disease have mild to moderate symptoms and fully recover without needing treatment in a hospital.

Roughly 1 in 5 people experience serious illness.
Older people may develop more severe symptoms, as may people with ongoing health conditions, such as:
  • high blood pressure
  • cardiovascular disease
  • diabetes
  • chronic respiratory disease
  • cancer
Mortality rate:

 It is very debatable accourding to different countries and different age groups and different sources but i will give you  latest report of US CDC(Central of Disease Control) of  march 2020.

New estimate by the CDC brings down the COVID- 19 death rate to just 0.26% as against WHO’s 3.4%
The new estimates of fatality rate released by the CDC are as follows for different age groups:
  • 0-49 years old: 0.05%
  • 50-64 years old: 0.2%
  • 65+ years old: 1.3%
  • Overall ages: 0.4%

what is that mean if 10 thousand people in population have Covid-19 Only 5 of them will die.
Yes It's very low but don't take it for Grant  Still wear a mask  (There is conspiracy or big propoganda on this topic i will cover that in my other blog)


Lockdown In India:

P.M Narendra Modi ordered  a 14-hour voluntary public curfew on 22 March

On 24 March 2020
Narendra Modi ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days
 
 On 14 April, Prime minister Narendra Modi extended the nationwide lockdown until 3 May, with a conditional relaxation after 20 April for the regions where the spread had been contained.

 1 May, the Government of India extended the nationwide lockdown further by two weeks until 17 May. The Government has divided the entire nation into three zones—green, red and orange—with relaxations applied accordingly.

On 17 May, nationwide lockdown was further extended till 31 May

Summarize as follows:-
Phase 1: 25 March 2020 – 14 April 2020 (21 days)
Phase 2: 15 April 2020 – 3 May 2020 (19 days)
Phase 3: 4 May 2020 – 17 May 2020 (14 days)
Phase 4: 18 May 2020 – ongoing (8 days); scheduled to end on 31 May 2020


Solution or my honest opinion:

All the above information is self sufficient to frighten us or  make a environment of fear. So lockdown was necessary but what's the end it's not a permanent solution to it before giving my opinion or the ultimate solution to it .
You should know about "Herd Immunity".

Herd immunity is a form of indirect protection from infectious disease that occurs when a large percentage of a population has become immune to an infection, whether through vaccination or previous infections
 Give you an example everyone of you had your Polio vaccine at your childhood it is given to you because to make you immune of Polio for future. You can see it as  early prevention

Now many scientists or doctors seeing it as best solution to this pandemic if you see there are countries like Japan or Taiwan having no lockdown still very few cases may be they had achieved Herd Immunity .

If you look to our country we are population of 1.3 billion and with just  1.5 lakh cases  not even 0.1% may be we had also achieved it still we can see from mortality rate for young population it's 0.05%.
Now it's time to think on Herd Immunity not lockdown extension with some strick restrictions to public gathering or hygiene.
